5e3 amp I built from a kit bought from SDG vintage + mission amps volume/tone mod + fixed bias mod + a humbucker mod + celestion heritage greenback = killer mod! The recording is of the amp with gibson lespaul. A Fulltone 69 pedal was used for the solo.
fantastic sound !

Is it the G12H(55) ?? Isnt it to bassy for tones like Jimi Hendrix ? I'll buy a g12h but Im not sure about which. It is to funk blues and rock style and to make some Hendrix covers.
Nice Video!!

Sounds a bit like Wishbone Ash. Well boys, I got a real 59, and I bought two amps a Mission kit 5e3 and a R-chter and neither got close to my 59, in fact, not even, so i am still looking for a new tweed clone to take the place of my 59. ps my real deluxe had more mid highs(beautiful ones) and was louder. Anyone know of a tweed deluxe clone that sounds as good as a real one?

@Kitarist88 It's not much about the tone, it makes it easier to bias when you change tubes. Cathode biasing means that you can't bias it without changing resistors. Fixed bias is adjustable, usually with some kind of pot. There are lots of places that sell these kits.

I absolutely love this song, idea, whatever your calling it. I stalked you under my old name and never got a response and see nobody else getting one's. damn shame you have talent dude, that is not only a great piece of machinery(amp) you know how to coax tone's of pureness out of it. Come out of Hiding man, tell us what's up

What is the difference between fixed bias and cathode bias tone wise? Is it still possible to buy the kit?
