Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Amman Aarrattu to Thengapattanam sea (May 2010)

Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Amman Temple this year (2010) annual festival ended with amman Aarratu (procession to sea and Holi bath), Kodiyeraku and fire works. This fire works competition is the best and biggest in Tamil Nadu. This video shows a small piece of the procession recorded at Mukkadu on 11-05-2010, 17:30Hrs. Procession started from the temple and went via Painkulam, Mukkadu, Amsi then reaches Thengapattanam sea. Performing the Holi bath of Amman and Pooja at the Thengapattanam sea beach and returns through the same way to reach the temple. The main attraction of the procession is Goddess travels in Eleven elephants (including younger ones), five Vilaku Kattu and other light works took part in this procession.
