The pledge just shows respect to the country. If you don't like the words 'under God' don't say it. It's as simple as that. When you take the oath before joining the military, they tell you you can leave the God part out if you don't believe in it. It's not like they have a microphone on you making sure you say it all. It's an American patriotic thing. If you don't like it fine, but your opinion won't make them stop saying the pledge. Change it? Maybe. But we will always have a pledge
