Sorry your team couldn't beat them, twice. Even Tebow couldn't do it. UM would've have been much more of a competitor than OSU, the scoreboard says that.
@josh19852008 I've looked around and I cant find a box score for that game even on the Seminole's web page. I bet someone has it somewhere. I'll keep looking.
@TOPOFFMAN It didnt show the score at all. So I googled it. I still couldnt get a box score to see how it unfolded. Maybe it was close until the 2nd half? You will have to let me know.
@josh19852008 I don't really blame them for that. And, I believe you are right. Just like they say...... Just follow the money. That is why they don't have a playoff system in place, and never will. And I agree with that. That's why some schools will schedule a 2 year deal to play each other. Florida and USC had such a deal back in the early 80's. Florida used to play Miami every year, but now they only play each other once or twice in a decade. But, those bowl games are a BIG money Cash Cow.
@TOPOFFMAN Just thought of something to. Maybe the NCAA and BCS control games scheduled in some way. They look at it from money. It would pay more to have a OSU vs Florida game in a major bowl or other many combinations. So I do not think you can blame the school or sports administration for games that are scheduled.
@TOPOFFMAN The other time was in 86 which I know nothing about other then finding out about. The 80's was a tough decade for OSU. Not justifying the losses by any means. Just not surprised they lost in 86 and under Cooper. Cooper was a great coach but had no concept of how to beat Michigan or win the games he needed to win. Tressel is not the best but he has won many big games. He could let up his conservative side quite a bit though.
@TOPOFFMAN I did research on the game. I can not say how the scoring unfolded but 51 to 31 seems like a exciting game to me. FSU was very talented that year and it showed when it counted. in 86 FSU also played in Ann Arbor and Michigan won. I can not say how many times they have played each other. I am still searching. All I can say is FSU beat OSU all 2 times they have faced each other. 1 year was in the Cooper era and that guy sucked at big games. It was the 98 rose bowl game.

@TOPOFFMAN There is no lack of talent at the big schools like OSU, Florida, USC and many others. Coaching and preparation is what it comes down to.
