A patch inspired by the game of life automaton, the cells constant changing will produce complex sounds as they move by rules. Generally its just random beep-bloop but when suddenly everything calms down and some cells make magnificent sounds.
First i tried to make a life simulator by myself but i failed hard so I used Bill Vorn Software LifeTools life2x external then i processed the cells easily.
The cells position is stored in coll then pumped out to a multislide. If a cell is dead 0 will pop out if its living it will pop out as 1 turning on/off the slider. The slider then controls an fft filter, filtering a saw waveform. I put some visual feedback like a scope and a spectometer, especially the last works like charm, you can see the actual cells moving.
The things i am doing are annotated so im not writing it here.

Very cool! I made something similar but on a smaller grid and sent it out physically through midi to my Novation Launchpad. Fun!
