George O'Brien, Medal of Honor, Korean War

Second Lieutenant George O'Brien led a counterattack, much of it hand-to-hand fighting, against an enemy-held hill near the 38th Parallel in Korea, on October 27, 1952. O'Brien was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Eisenhower exactly one year later, on October 27, 1953.
