A tribute to Mary Astor, Oscar winning actress who made a successful transition from silent films to talkies and starred opposite such greats as Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Bette Davis, and William Powell. She won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1941 for her role of Sandra Kovac in "The Great Lie" oppostie Bette Davis and George Brent.

Oooh, love the surprising contralto! And the hair-do! I see you posted long ago, but thank you for it. I like this Charleston-y version best.

One of the greats. Even Bette Davis was a huge fan of Astor's.

Charm, grace and elegance, qualities pretty scarce in today's world.
