The miracle is that he didn't kill another motorist. Accident reconstruction? They've been showing police video on the wreck on TV. Everything you need to know is that the moron was driving about twice the speed limit in rush hour traffic. Everything else just sort of falls into place.

@tatorsal I did a couple of similar things when I was a foolish kid too, but way out in the country where no one but myself would have got hurt. And like you, I'll never do it again.

As far as my Toyota comment, I was just making a joke about Toyota's acceleration problems - the sticky accelerator pedal, or faulty floor mat, or whatever Toyota claimed the cause of the problem was.

@BrainEatingApe I drove my toyota mr2 at over 120 mph when I was a punk kid, I was though alone at dark in the middle of nowhere with my own life at risk, not hundreds of commuters and I won't do it again.
