@JohnnyContagious As far as I can see, the only thing I wrote here was "this film wasn't great". I stand by that (in fact, I think it was shite). I'd also like to state, for what it's worth, that I am a film-maker in the final semester of a BA in Film Studies. Scorsese and Coppola are the masters of the gangster film; I wouldn't put the Coens on the same level in that regard, but Miller's Crossing is brilliant. I would describe this as a caper film myself, albeit one devoid of humour.

@JohnnyContagious ohhh boy you're an angry little man arent you first of all this isnt a gangster film lmao who describes a film as dog eared .... i mean what type of insult is that trying to flex what? your obvious shit knowledge of film did you just put the coen brothers in the same category as scorcese and coppola lmao you didnt like this film fine but it wasn't the film your describing atall

@jonny you seem a very angry person. Relax a bit. Maybe one day you might have a sexual relationship with someone.

this?! This pile of dog-eared, pathetic bullshit is deserving of nothing more than our derision. The very best gangster films, as exhibited by Scorcese, Coppola, the Coens, or even Raoul Walsh, if you want to go way back to a period you know fuck all about, offer a subtle insight into the essence of the male machismo. The only reason this inadequate pish speaks to you is because you are fundamentally lacking in all the nuances of a cultured film fan. In short, you're a cockend.

@freddybeer Loosen your nuts, fuckstick. Firstly a 'cinematic moron' is grammatically incorrect for the point you're trying to make here, that implies a moron with cinematic qualities, which is actually kind of complimentary, if you think about it... if you're capable of lateral thinking, that is. As for the rest... words, perhaps for the first time in my life, almost fail me. Magical?! A collection of fuck-ups murder an innocent couple and we're expected to invest emotion in
One of my best movies ever!!! This movie is so under-rated. Andy Garcia is brilliant!
