@GiraffeApocalypse I make complex long form original stuff that defies categorization and we are in an age of parodies/remakes/re-imagining and instant gratification... and this new film is based around serious issues like child abuse... so I deal with heavy stuff... most people want light throwaway stuff that doesn't affect them on any deeper level- I try to make stuff so that it stares into your soul and makes you look as well- and most people are avoiding looking within themselves imo

@mdotstrange Though I think another part of this is down to the fact that you communicate this in animation. Which doesn't seem like it would be a problem however animation today is seen as a market with a mainly child demographic so communicating serious issues LIKE child abuse and such is found and seen as distasteful or strange when put into animation. When we think, serious issues in film we tend to think live action which is once again an example of human categorization at its best.
