ahh... back in the days when vista was considered a downgrade from XP... before Service Pack 1 was released. Now that SP1 is in Vista, most of the issues are fixed... Now I like vista better than XP. Not to mention it runs faster on the same machine that had XP on it. But issues like this could be hardware related. It could be a bad USB controller (which usually controls the card readers) or it could be the card reader itself or just a faulty driver.

I know ,i used vista for long time on all of my machines, this laptop was old ...and this vas vista in the first weeks or RTM ...and pour drivers. I sold this lappy for 400 euros last year.
I'm using a macbook now :)
