  • I am not sure about the pressure, I have never operated this boiler myself. I doubt that the boilers working pressure is built for 14 bar. They might be approaching a port and are taking down pressure or it can because that the ship haden't been taken care of in around 40 years so using the boiler at its highest possible pressure would be more risky bussiness!

  • why so low on boiler pressure? 8 bar , its more a water vapor engine as a steam engine that way, 14 bar is not only dryer steam but also a lot les of coal use! (thats a fact!) it , stil is a nice steam tug!, sucsess whith the restoration!

  • The boiler were very weak in some parts so they did a new pressure test and came to the conclusion that 10 kg's working pressure would be used. But you are right the original working pressure is 14 kg's. Thanks for watching!
