chicago eastward to ohio I belive, no one around now that would know mom aunt and grandma his wife all passed away. we have a divison point in town but I dont want to say where on youtube there are too many people that would love to track me down for things I said to them on youtube.

DAMN that engines huge. Steam engines look cooler than diesals because if the smoke, steam, drivers, plus the rarity and the amount of work that has to be put into them makes them unique.

@DrPepper9961 Almost all operating steam engines have had asbestos abatement. Asbestos would bring a huge liability concern.

My dad is 88 years old. He started out on the Illinois Central Railroad as a fireman on steam engines. He retired as the engineer of the City of New Orleans between Champaign and Centralia, Illinois. Do these steam engine guys have concern about mesothelioma due to asbestos in the firebox? My dad has that kind of cancer from his fireman days.
