TONY CHRISTIE - My Love Song

After years of "doing the circuits" of radio (pre Radio 1 etc in GB!!!), supporting the main acts, Tony burst into the charts with"I did what I did for Maria" in 1971. Whilst he had several successes with follow-ups, this record made in 1972, written by Mitch Murray & Peter Callander, never made the charts at all, yet I think it is a fantastic song and my favourite of all. It's got an orchestral feel of MacArthur Park/Eloise type and could be described as corny but I like the song and he sings it superbly. Please take the time to rate it and make any comments. Enjoy.

Can't thank you enough for this, had this song on an album "With Loving Feeling" cassette 1973. Absolutely love this song, one of his best.

I was really disappointed this song was not on his greatest hits - for me it was one of the best love songs ever, and maybe someday someone like Buble will do a new version of it... so thrilled to find it on here today tho. Thanks for sharing.
