With the aide of my motorized router lift and modified tenon jig, I have converted a router table into an efficient and productive mortising machine.

Make matching mortises easily. This method is well suited for loose tenon joinery.

  • ever heard of Festool Domino??

  • Sure, the Domino is a great tool. I like to make stuff myself, including my tools and jigs, and coming up with an effective way to mortise on the router table was my goal. I don't do production work, so I'm not exactly concerned with speed. You should watch my pool table video #3, and you'll see how accurate and efficient my mortising setup really is.
