It's the first time the recruits have to carry all their personal combat gear in a route march.

On Guoquan's shoulders rest not just the weight of his fullpack but the responsibility of lifting the morale of his mates with his singing.

On the sidelines, Shawn watches his section soldier on as he is restricted to light duties for a month. He misses out on the camaraderie, but does what he can to help them along their journey.

  • SINGING UNDER THE HOT SUN??? WOULDN'T THAT DEHYDRATE THE BODY EVEN MORE?!!!!

  • Sgt. Min Han! - My old section commander and PS...this was an outstanding company with expectations that although high to meet were eventually met.

  • @jjcidgod usually they will only change to long 4 for their RMs when they emark on their 8km RM for field camp.

  • @lamestbiokinectic The SAR 21 weighs 3.82 kgs vs the 3.6 kg F88 Austyr. The exact material composition of the F88 Austyr is classified but its made of a "high level of polymer and advanced alloy components". There are major design flaws with SAR 21, given the rifle cost only 90 AUD vs almost $20,000 AUD for the Austyr that is understandable.

  • Australian army is voluntary. These guys are civilians, some of them dont even wanna be in the army but they have to.Therefore the government has to be fair and cut some slack on them.Besides,it's only their first month.

  • Where got time. ORD LO.

  • Wah shoik sia... my 6 click was long 4, FBO, no rifle sling and the pace was faster . They even had a rest point. :/

  • @deontan

listen to ah nan one the original one

  • Don't compare your Australian army with us. These guys are just recruits, civilians going through a transformation phase into a soldier. Be humble mate...

  • @laubeatz u want to know why it's only 15kg? it is because ours I new and polyester Australia's is old and made of heavy metal
