the eye beckons us forward. the monolith on 2001 does the same thing: "come; this way; what next?!

considering how badly this work has been cut spliced and edited for tv, it still is a miracle that its full essence has held up so well. it deserves a full digital restoration with the missing sequences re-edited back in thier proper place. did karel zeman believe in the spiritualistic and the mystical? he must have. the subtle references to it in the very beginning and very end are very strong. swirling masses of light; out of it "shapes" emerge; a hand; a blade of grass and the eye.

further, it should be subtitled in english! karl zeman was a genius ahead of his time! with a limited budget and crude technology, he creates a scientific and mystical jounrney into the unknown that will never be equalled! as a child i first saw it on tv and was riveted by it! was one of the first films i saw that got me into science fiction. whoever found this missing sequence, congradulations! could you send me a translation to my e-mail at:victorhouseman@yahoo.com. thank you!

it is very clear that this is a MISSING SEQUENCE from the original film, broadcast on garfield goose and family classics!! most likely from the begining of the film where the four boys are seen walking across the brookllyn bridge(?) at the beginning of thier "journey". as an unknown/ cut out/ deleted/ missing sequence, it would be/is PRICELESS!! therefore it should be re-edited back in and re-incorporated back into the film! is this the whole sequence or is there more to it? someone answer!
