Waking up the morning you have to leave is so hard. My wife and I held hands the entire drive to base before she had to drop me off. But as I kissed her good bye and got ready to load up onto that C-17, I looked into her eyes and said "Wait for me, because you know I will always come back."

When my husband left, he called and left this song in a message for me :-) that is when it really hit me that we would be apart for a long time. Praying for all the troops at home and overseas. It has to be as hard on you as it is for us. God Bless you!
