Coldplay Live - Lovers in Japan - (Chicago, 07/22/08)

Coldplay performing the song "Lovers in Japan" (From Viva La Vida / Death and All His Friends) at the United Center on July 22nd, 2008. The background film is absolutely beautiful :) And at last -- confetti (They were butterly-shaped)! :D

Unfortunately my camera seems to capture video much better than audio...so parts of this may sound strange or off-beat -- it is not the band's fault (Blame insufficient technology). Please also excuse my horrendous voice at some parts - I have a terrible habit of wanting to sing along at concerts D: (But then again, it's a Coldplay concert...how can you not?)

I was in the exact same spot as you... just in the lower level. We snuck in there... otherwise we woulda been in the upper deck way at the back. and it was WORTH IT! This was the best 4 minutes of my life. Best preformance of the night, and i took home a TON of butterflies. and... when they were running past to go play the scientist in the Crowd... Johnny waved to me! that made my year.

I didn't, sorry! :/ I'm posting these in concert order, so you can tell I missed quite a bit from the beginning portions -- I opted to take pictures instead during them. Now I do wish I got VLV, Clocks, In My Place, and Yellow though...

Surprising that you mention the Japanese miltarism..they took it out mid tour look for any 2009 LIJ video clips and you'll see they took that part out.
