You're dead right. Ian Curtis was a massive Doors fan.

It is kind of like an 80s electronic doors, with better lyrics and less annoying poetry bits.

Ian Curtis was influenced by Iggy Pop who was, in turn, influenced by The Doors. The music sounds nothing like The Doors' music but the vocals are similar.
