I'm confused, why did Malcolm give the legacy to the opposition in the first place? Did he want rid of the PM?

@jdhathrisen I haven't seen the episode in a while, but I think the idea is to force the PM to delay his exit until Malcolm can get himself in Tom's good graces to ensure that he keeps his position and isn't ousted in favor of a Nutter. I think that was it anyway, but others will have just seen the episode and can be clearer. Hope this helped. Like you've lost sleep over Malcolm's motivations :D
