Here is a video report on U.S. Marines launching a new offensive against the Taliban in Afghanistan overnight. At least 1,000 Marines dropped into the Helmand Province region of Afghanistan, which has been a Taliban stronghold. The report shows some of the action taking place there. The purpose of the offensive is to reverse Taliban momentum in the south of the country, and to "cut off enemy supply and communications lines to the north."

@SirSphynxi army rangers are no where near as elite as the seals. rangers are elite don't get me wrong... but compared to MFR//SEALS//Green Berets, they're nothing.

@sekailover US SEALS are the Navy's special forces. Rangers are the Armys special forces. Marines are a branch of the Navy comprised of total bad asses. Each branch serves its role although sometimes there roles intersect. i.e. a Navy SEAL and an Army Ranger might be given a similar mission.
