shelf chapter 11

RECAP: joe and katelyn are alone on the tour bus hanging out (they are dating now) and nick rented out a few sections of the beach for him and gabriella*

*with nick and gabriella*

GABRIELLA: Try an E power chord there. *points to a line in their notebook*

NICK: *plays it on his guitar* Your a genius. *writes it in*

GABRIELLA: No your the genius.. renting out the beach on a beautiful summer day. *sighs and lays on her back on their blanket*

NICK: *laughs* i do what i can. *shrugs*

GABRIELLA: *sighs* I havent been to the beach in a long time. this is really nice.

NICK: *smiles at her* I have an important question to ask you..

GABRIELLA: *sits up slightly* what?

NICK: *thinks* Ill play it for you. *smiles and puts his fingers back to the guitar frets*

*nick starts playing something that gabriella doesnt recognize until he starts singing. 'crazy for this girl, by evan and jaron'*

NICK: *singing* Well you look at her, she looks at me. shes got me thinking about her constantly, but she dont know how i feel. and as she carries on without a doubt i wonder if she'll figure it out, that im crazy for this girl. yeah im crazy for this girl.

GABRIELLA: *smiles* soo who is this special girl?

NICK: gabriella brooks.. since that day in the back of my tour bus.. no.. since that morning we stopped in on your guys before school, i have been hooked.. i think about you every second of everyday that i am not with you.. will you be my girlfriend?

*with joe and katelyn*

JOE: man! you beat me again! i think that kevin would have finally met his guitar hero match!

KATELYN: tell me the time and place. kevin is going down. *laughs*

JOE: *smiles* Katelyn, ive been thinking a lot about our first kiss that was... interupted.. *laughs*

KATELYN: *smiles* Honestly, so have i...

JOE: Soo.. we are alone on the tour bus.. can we try it again?

KAETLYN: *nods* Id like that..

*joe leans it and they kiss lightly. they pull away*

JOE: *speechless* wow.. for the two seconds taht was... i felt fireworks.

KATELYN: *smiles* so did i.

JOE: What do you say we try it again?

KATELYN: you read my mind...

*they kiss again, but this time more passionately. joe deepens it-

*with emma*

MR BROOKS: *running down the stairs* Emma, have you seen gabriella?

EMMA: Yeah dad, she went out.

MR BROOKS: She what?!

EMMA: *turns to look at him* Went out?

MR BROOKS: No no no.. she couldnt have went out because today is one of her last days before she cant go to her band practice because of her stupid detentions.. she needs to spend every minute of her weekend down in the recording booth- *mrs brooks walks in and mr brooks totally changes attitude*... oh okay.. i was just wondering where she was. *walks away*

EMMA: *to herself* ok...?

MRS BROOKS: So honey. i heard you have a hot date tonight, huh?

EMMA: mom!

MRS BROOKS: What? *laughs* Okay okay.. so i hear you have a date tonight?

EMMA: *smiles* Yeah.. i cant believe we are all actually going on dates with the jonas brothers..

MRS BROOKS: You and your sisters are beautiful girls. you should believe that they would want to be with you.

EMMA: *smiles* Your the best mom.

MRS BROOKS: thats what im here for. *walks away*

*there is a knock on the door*

EMMA: *gets up and goes to answer it* Hey!

KEVIN: Hey.. sorry im stopping in on you. the brothers are all out and i was bored at the hotel. *laughs*

EMMA: Oh well.. come on in. *lets him walk inside*
