Well we just failed CGC test #2... We finally have her laying down for dinner or cookies but just would NOT do it at the test site. *sigh* So now we begin the desensitizing her to laying down in other rooms of the house, then outside. Maybe in another year I'll be able to get her to do it at test time.
It was funny though. The evaluator just looked at me and said, " She just tuned you right out."
I want to know how you got him to lay down. My Swissy won't lay donw on command for anything. It's the only obsticle between us and a CGC certification.

I said, " I noticed."

We trained our swissy with verbal commands and hand motions. They are very smart dogs.

@SnowMoon75
its hard but if you can do it when its young then you should
get treat and hold it down foot above ground
then grab its paw and slowly pull it sideways until it falls down
then say down and give treat
