  • This song isn't too bad on the time signatures - we're playing a piece called Serenade... It was written by some guy as processional music for his wedding, but he lost one of his legs in an accident. So he wrote the whole thing in 7/8, 11/8, 13/8. He figured if he had to hobble in, so would everyone else :-p Great piece, and Lincolnshire Posey kicks major ass. I also wish the conductor didn't take it so abruptly. Oh well.

  • This was like from a camp, right? I wanted to do it sooo bad, but I'm already going to a band camp, and my parents didn't want to pay for another one. ;)

  • Great! Ny MIDDLE SCHOOL band is playing movements 1, 2, and 6 with the highschool. I love all 3 of them. This one is nice, too.

  • OMG, I didn't know I was on utube. I am totally in this band, and yes, this song was very fun to play if you are in to really bizzare time signatures.

  • our band plays this. i like 1,2 and 5 movements. overall sweet piece. i love the 3rd clarinet part on movement 1

  • It seems too rushed (unmetered parts, trumpet solo), but then I love enjoying the chords a little bit more by playing them longer. But that's just me!

  • very bad orchestration. It could be done much more fluently. The conductor definitely had better choices for this piece. BRISK YOUNG SAILOR rules!

  • Wow, your conductor took that really abruptly in my opinion.

  • that song is scored so weird, with those off-beat patterns. Idk, but I play soprano sax, so I play maybe 10 measures in the whole song. I mean, he had to give the soprano a break somewhere. Geez.

  • my second favorite movement. I loved the 4th movement and 2nd best. Actually... I love Lincolnshire Posy equally... Such great music.
