This Video was taken on November 18th, 2006. This is a Victor Red Seal Record. I don't know the exact recording date. (probably the late-1930s)
Lawrence Tibbett, the great baritone sings an old scottish song from late 17th century. I took this record from my home to a small Phonograph Exhibition which took place in Korea Electronic Power Corporation center in SeoCho-Dong, Seoul. (I don't have a phonograph in home right now, Only small Table-top Victrola from 1930s is remained in my grandfather's house, at Yeosu, Five Hundred Kilometers far from here.) The Phonograph is Victor Model VV-XIV.
I only have a 7-year-old Samsung Digital Camera for filming moving images. The Quality of both sound and vision is extremely poor. I only can film in this solution because the Camera can't read any memory cards which has more than 32MB Memory.
But Anyway, My first video. Hope You'll enjoy this.
Thanks for posting. Great job.

this is a wonderful song, and one of the first i had ever heard of tibbet, you may find it intersting to know that the original music does not have a change to the minor key. tibbet chose to do this dramatic change at the suggestion of my father. it is a great dramatic device isnt it.
