@STARLING249 I was REx Allen Sr.s girl singer form 79 until just shortly before his death, Wade was on many of those shows and I got to know him well. Spent the night at his house with my dad Speedy Haworth, and other band members and tasted Grace's homemade wine. Love an miss that awesome man
@Ezdduf4kuZ It's really strange. There were A LOT of great hillbilly rockers in Canada. Just look at the 12cd issue on Collector Records! You can find there Al Oster, Guido D'Amico, Les Vogt, The Stoltz Brothers, Rudy Hayden, Bob & Lucille, Evan Kemp, Joe Kozak, Jack Kingston, Vanda King... and many more. I know some modern artists in Canada who make cool 50's sound. for example Ronnie Hayward, Pete Turland..
Good to get our email. Wade, I , Roberta and our son Noah became friends for years and years. Wade played on one of our cds, Wasn't Born to Follow. He was fun to be around and with. At one time he was an awesome fiddler and dog gone good singer too. Gary

This dose sound like a very mouldy oldy...sounds like it comes out of the big band era and yet it's termed 1954 hillbilly/rockabilly boogie. Anyway i like the Rockabilly sound, it was never played here in Vancouver Cda, don't ask me why, it's not clear to me but Youtube has more than enough to offer me, i was and am surprized. It was mainstream r&r here & nationwide, right! There is Hillbilly posted too and it reminds me of country music more than Rockabilly..and then there is Bluegrass.THX
I worked with Wade when I traveled as part of REx Allen Sr.s band. His sense of humor was only out weighed by his awesome talent. Love and miss him.

I love to read testimonies about a good man, they have left some stuff we all can shoot for in our own life.

Ernest Tubb used to call him 'Old Pug-nose Wade Ray' on his Nashville show. Wade always upped the excitement factor with his fiddling and singing.

Used to work with Wade when I was with Rex Allen Sr. What a great fiddle player. I miss him. What an entertainer. Could play the devil out of hell.
