  • In German this song is called"Ich war nie mit Lilly allein", sung by Hubert von Meyerinck, accompanied by "Orchester der Haller-Revue"with bandleader Willi Lachner on Electrola:-))

    What a stunning dance-version!!!

  • That's really interesting, because I know alot of Germany melodies had their lyrics changed to English and were given new titles, such as the Geman song "Panama" became "When Day is Done" Do you know if this one was originally German?

  • We went on a family holiday, down to Devon, 1989 - a glorious week of fine summer weather and the beauty of that part of our country. I had this on tape and was OBSESSED with it, listening through headphones!.

  • The music was written by Everett Lynton which was a pseudonym for the British songwriter Lawrence Wright.
