Rain Hammock Setup

A rare rain storm came into SoCal, and I took advantage of the weather for one of the nicest nights I've ever had in my hammock. I woke up the next morning and decided to do a video on the changes I make to my system in wet weather. This video takes place behind Fort Hickory, but on the trail its almost exactly the same. The only thing missing is my pack and stove, both of which would be below the hammock, out of the rain. Enjoy!

I wish I had learned knots earlier in my life as an outdoors enthusiast. It's one of the most important parts in my "Brain Kit". Learning a few simple knots allows you to do SO MANY things! The way I started learning was by getting the book SAS Survival Handbook by John Lofty Wiseman and studying the chapter on knots. From there I was just a few YouTube videos and phone apps away from knot comfortability. Just remember, Practice Makes Perfect! :)
