Rupert Graves played the 3rd lead in James Ivory's 1987 gay romance/drama, "Maurice," based on E.M. Forster's novel of the same name. It's an amazing film that everyone should check out.

I mostly tried to JUST include Rupert's scenes rather than the scenes where he's talked about or the relationship is fleshed out (such as Maurice meeting with the hypnotist the second time).

There is no copyright infringement intended, I'm just a massive fan of both Graves and the film.

  • I did not just see lestrade naked O_O

    heaven does exist.

  • @fionablahblah And rightly so!!!! Please don't encourage them. : )

Does the (weird) way the view count for Part 2/2 is *1million+* less than for than Part 1/2 have any connection with this, I wonder? That's 1million people who can't be arsed to stay watching for the most romantic, erotic, moving (and naked) scenes or That Kiss.

  • @IscaRose Indeed! From this PoV you might enjoy the Abinger Edition of Maurice (1999 hardback) if you haven't seen it. Because the version published in 1971 wasn't finalised by EMF until the 1950s: earlier private readers saw earlier drafts, only some of which survive. And some of the detail in 1914 was very different from 1971 (the Abinger Edition notes explain these differences). e.g. Two key scenes in this video – the hotel scene and the boathouse ending – weren't written until 1952!

  • @fionablahblah Well one on the way!

  • What's this? A Rupert Graves video under which the top rated comments do not mention his skills at football or five children? *implodes*

  • Me while watching this: HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII- *downloads*

  • @Kawamura2 I agree with everyone else, you should read the book. If you think the film was ground-breaking the book is so much more. I know if didn't finally get published until 1971 but some people had the pleasure of reading this story in 1914 ... now that's breaking the rules!!

  • The book is so good! I recommend it highly, especially if you like the movie

  • @Kawamura2 If you 'absolutely adore' it, please DO read the book.
