This is my Dad's "supplier"...... of performance parts that is.... He has a SICK miata if you get a chance check out his webpage. His intercooler is patented and ridiculously effcient! Check it out ar http://www.trackdogracing.com
Jeez, everyone needs to relax on the numerical semantics! They're great cars with robust bottom-ends, making it easy (and reasonably cheap) to add lots of power, however one defines that. A simple MP45 SC kit runs $2400, bolts on in a Saturday and, with a pulley upgrade, makes around 200+ hp. No small thing in a 2100-2250 pound car. Sure, you'll need to upgrade the clutch but that's pretty much it. Amazing little machines.
@MyOpinionMatterss No doubt. I found out the hard way how much miatas cost to build. Too many people also over rate that engine power too often which is why i get annoyed. They think they can slap on a small ass supercharger and get 500 whp like an 03/04 cobra. I cant imagine > 240 whp on an n/a miata O.o 13-1 compression, crazy intake and exhaust.... the targa miata only made like 215 or something like that! that was COMPLETELY built too!
@JgHaverty Agreed. You don't have to get annoyed about it though. Whoever thinks it's cheap is in for an expensive surprise. A 300hp turbo motor would be much cheaper to build. The thing I find hard to believe is the above post which mentions 240hp n/a. I can't even imagine how much that would cost.
@MyOpinionMatterss semantics at this point. I get annoyed with people that think you can slap on a bolt on super charger kit and get over 300 hp. If this car is close to 300 whp, its got a serious amount of money dropped into it. they also wont get much more then that. These people make it sound like its super easy to do this. THATS what Im getting frustrated with.
@MyOpinionMatterss so you prove what I stated. I still dont see the link to the dyno graph. Thanks. 300whp is not 288whp. they cant get much more then that.
@steveandlee holy jesus typo nazi.... I've seen ONE miata that had over 300whp from a supercharger. It was built by flyin miata using an ubercharger setup, stroked motor, and was completely built to the teeth. If you care to show me a dynograph, I will shut up.
This is at MSR Cresson right?

@JgHaverty 2 clicks. Website, then Dyno Runs. 288 is damn close to 300. You or I would not be able to tell the difference.

@JgHaverty Wow, you're lazy. He links right to the website where the dyno graphs are. Here I'll save you the trouble: 288whp/ 240wtq.
