Dave Ramsey KICKS ASS !!!
-
I wanted to know how much she owed on her car...
-
@GogglesKittah I found some info on the Internet about Baker Manufacturing but no website for them. Looks like a good product though.
-
@GogglesKittah If 300hp is "underpowered" for that plow then why did you go for a 9200 when it has 300hp. And I highly doubt a 4wd with 300hp is "underpowered" for a 12 bottom.
-
@GogglesKittah i would go with a 535 quadtrac, it will pull that plow through anything, and also great for muddy harvesting ;)
-
The 9200 replaced the 8770 and has just more 10hp.Maybe the 350hp 8870 or the 360hp 9300 is what yor looking for.
-
lol dave ramsey...nice...i tried listening to dave while plowing once and ended up doing a less than awesome job to say the least...
-
i think you'll find the 9200 is not alot bigger then the 8770, the 9300 is more in the 360hp range
-
it does slow eroison but nothings goin to completly take that out of the picture most farmers in my area bush hog the stalks off then come back a week before planting and disc it then field cultivate and plant so that the land has only a week to actually get rained on and move it does improve yields and on soybeans behind wheat but you would have to be crazy to plant corn on corn without doing something with the residue
-
thanks for putting up that vid, I meant to ask you what you thought of no till? I hear some ppl say that you get more yields from no till and some say the opposite whats your view point on it? I just thought it would be better because of it reduces the amount of erosion, then again i am just a student so I don't know 1/100 of what you guys that work the land know.
how do you like that tractor?? its a nice one

It's an alright machine. 300hp is a little underpowered for that plow.... so we upgraded to 9200s this summer. :-D

That's interesting I've never heard of a Baker plow before.
I plow in B2 also, I can pull it in C2 but in certain ground it rolls the clay over twice and makes a mess.
Do you guys plow alot or just certain fields?

Baker is a farm machinery manufacturer in northwest Oklahoma. My other tractor videos show a Baker disc, but unless you're in the surrounding states, it's possible you've never seen a Baker implement before.
People around here farm differently. Some plow EVERY single acre every year. Others just disc their ground several times and some people even go with no-till techniques.

cool vid, Is that a 3700 or 3710? You guys must have light ground because 10 bottoms with an 8970 is a load. I can't tell is that a 12 or 24 speed?

This is a Baker plow... not sure of what the model number might be. It is really just about too much for the 8770, because the 8770 isn't a big tractors.
So, it's not perfect, but we make it work. Drop her down into B2 and pull at just under 6mph.
