In this video I take a simple pattern, then progressively add basic techniques to show some of the possibilities for expression through the harmonica

  • Hey Dan hope you still check this video for comments but i'm new to harmonica playing and just got myself a special 20 in the key of C..coincidence that you actually recomend it in another one of your videos but thats besides the point..i'm writing to ask you if you go from tongue blocking to puckering when you use the "T" technique to add percussion to your notes...im having trouble isolating my notes and would appreciate some tips...Thanks

  • @BeauSho30 I think it's better to learn one technique first, then add a second embouchure later, but maybe I feel that way because that's how I learned. At the very start, it's probably better to focus on one embouchure. Making a "T" or "Ta" sound is something you do while puckering. The tongue is not free enough to get such a staccato attack when tongue blocking. That's one very good reason to eventually learn multiple embouchures.

  • hi dan wat are the tabs for this blues riff? keep up ur great stuff mate :)

  • @feiz01 I just put up a video with the boogie tab. Sorry if I was dismissive in the past. Was not my intention.
