The intro has a "Home Alone" feel to it..Another one of Williams' best work. Also, 1:15, you can hear the Yoda theme from the Empire Strikes Back OST because that's when E.T. see's Yoda. :)

his is my fav part for me as well. Is amazing the combination of the forest on the sun set and the music, it was just exactly what this music says...a forest on the sunset wiht an alien.
