"Are you going to open the Rainbow book, David?
Underlying pretext: "You'd better do as I say or I'll send the boys round. You know what they did to 'Jack the Hat..."said Bungle 'the stare' bear.
Was he in any more episodes? I like his style: naive yet menacing!

@IThinkYouLookLarvely Do you have the dance steps? Ha ha. I'm quite warming to this Bungle. Do you think Thames production still have that costume? I'd buy it for Hallowe'een. Like your username by the way and LOVE that scene in Carry on Matron (only second to 'I want to be woo'ed')!

@IThinkYouLookLarvely I'm trying to imagine Bungle here with a waxed, walrus-like, handlebar moustache a la Jimmy Edwards. I'm sure anything would be an improvement if it softened the face and distracted from his mad, staring eyes!! O O

Logan is a pink dragon. Not sure what Bramble's supposed to be.

OH MAN THE RAINBOW BOOK!

I Like the intro to the opening of the book, must of been a calming influence for children in comparission to scary bungle!, they should of kept the intro music to that for every ''storytime'' right up until 1992! -)

"What do you think we'll find in it today?"
"Blood...so much blood"
Could you imagine Oliver Reed on Rainbow?

Funny you should say that, on the "Shapes" song with Zippy, Bungle seems to have taken on a few performance tips from Olly!

Bungle got especially scary in the 80s, appearing on Michael Aspel's show with a large jug of vodka and orange, dancing and singing incomprehensibly.

Reminds me of the lead singer of a band called Savile.
