@nmlewan Most people buying $9000 lens should not be using it on a D7000. I think he is trying to help people chose what lens is best for their D7000. I could be wrong though.

"Top 3"???? More like "Top most-value-for-money lenses". A "Top" lens would be something like the 600mm for $9000. Or a 14-24 or a 17-70 or a 70-200 or any of the other widely used top quality lenses. And why for the Nikon D7000? Would they not fit on other cameras? What about "for Nikon DX cameras"? Sorry, but that title is completely misleading.

Hi Matt I am thing on changing over to the Nikon d7000, from the Sone line.
What lens should I get with the Nikon d700, other the 105mm macro?
-
As far as the Nikon 70-300 VR, it is NOT sharp "right across the board" as a matter of fact at 200 and above it softens up substantially! I owned one for over a year and shot often with it. So don't believe that part of the review! What I recommend for a DX Nikon camera? It's all about compromises but right now I am going with the 24-120 f/4. This is a very sharp lens "right across the board" on a DX camera. Expensive~yes! Limited,~yes. But limitations are what we deal with as photographers.
