Can you trust your own ears and eyes

Here Dr Patricia Kuhl is demonstrating our hearing is not solely dependent on our hearing but our eyes. Please, try for your self by following her instructions in the video.

The instruction is simple. As you listen to the video try to close your eyes and listen then open see for your self if you really are hearing the same thing.

Hopefully, you will find out that when you open your eyes and when you close it you will hear two different sounds despite the speaker never change the word.
