Wow, haven't seen this in a quarter of a century! Sparked some memories there. Thanks for posting.

Similar was Night Flight on the USA Network;

@morrisonAV Ha, I was just going to comment about that! It is The Pointer Sisters "Should I Do It", from 1982 I believe.

Hey, where can I get one of those robot jukeboxes?
-
They don't even do this kind of animation anymore.

Ha ha---oh the memories.

After doing some searching around, I believe the song is "Should I Do It". How much of this particular Video Jukebox program do you have? I'd love to see the rest of it.

thank you so much for posting this. I have always had that music stuck in my mind, its very catchy.

Thanks for the info. Lately, I've been thinking that it might have been made specifically for them.
And also thanks for posting this. As short as it is, that theme rocks! Of all the themes they used for "Video Jukebox" that one is the best! That was one very pumping theme for its time!
I've been wondering for some time now: was that theme written specifically for "Video Jukebox" or was it taken from existing music?

Usually, a network will work with a composer or artist to write something that is "genre appropriate" to the show material. Also, given the short running time of something like this theme music and the fact that they wouldn't want to have to pay royalties every time they played it, I'm fairly sure that this was composed specifically for HBO.

What's the video at the end?

It was a Pointer Sisters song. I actually have the whole song (I think) but faded it out because I was just wanting the intro.
