This week i lost 5lbs not bad for my 1st week of p90x and lost 3 inches total. Here's to help you stay strong in trying to achieve your goals too.
My passion and motivation comes from those 1000"s of people that count on me to pull them through. I can't let that many people down, that's one of the main reasons i put my progress on you tube because i knew i had to keep going because those people are counting on me so it's not a personal thing anymore i will let all those people down and many will quit if i did i don't want that to happen.
It makes me feel like a better person when i have not only helped one person or 50 or 100 people i have have helped 1000"s that's big to me. So with all that said thanks from the bottom of my heart for your questions and support, thanks a million.

First about nutrition... i didn't go by the p90x nutrition i came up with something on my own until i could further learn about nutrition so i did 3 things.
no sugar
ONLY water
No carbs after 4pm
Remember this " If you can't read it don't eat it" this saying will help you eat healthier foods. Processed foods slow your metabolism down and store more fat. When you look at the ingredients on the labels and you see corn syrup or enriched or enriched bleached flour put it down. eat in moderation don't stuff yourself.
p90x equipment you need.... if you just want to tone and not bulk up you need 5 and 10 lbs dumbbells, a pull up bar i got mine at walmart for $12 and a heart rate monitor. if you know your heart rate you can stay in your fat burning zone and burn more calories and then loose more fat QUICKLY!!! Do what you can of the workout don't push too hard you will get stronger with time. you will soon enough be able to keep up with them. Now when you use the pull up bar most people can 't do any. So use a chair to put one foot on until you don't need it i can do 3 now several different ways so trust me it will come.
