I rode the train from Toronto to Cochrane on December 25th, 2008. When the train arrived in North Bay, all the passengers had to get off and transfer to another train, as the original one was needed back in Toronto for its generator (or the "B Unit" engine). It was such a nice day - even though it was about -16 Celsius - that I decided to stay outside and shoot some footage of the incoming train that would take everyone to Cochrane. Many other passengers had the same idea, and you can hear them talking in the background as the train approaches.
This was originally shot in .MOV format on my Kodak EasyShare P880 zoom camera, and then I used the open source Akme FFMpeg transcoder to make it compatible with Windows Movie Maker in order to edit it for uploading. The audio volume has been increased considerably from the original recording, as the camera does not have a good built-in microphone.
