Remember the Gemco in Lancaster, Ca..... Miss it, shopped there all of the time. They remodeled it and then went out of business months later. Toys r us sit in there noe

I remember when my grandparents bought the family's first VCR at Gemco lol. It was top loader and it was huge. Love that old Gemco candy store smell too.

I remember those old vcr's, big & heavy as a brick! Ah, Gemco bought out by Target.
The old Gemco by me is now a Target. Opened in 1986. Wow, that store is now 24 years old!

In 1978 a Sony VHS Recorder cost $900.00 dollars and a RCA SelectaVision VHS Recorder cost $750.00 dollars!

Wow you can buy a Nice 32" flat screen for around the same price as that Tv you can get at a yard sale for 5$. DVD players don't even cost as much as that VCR. BTW was that VHS or Beta? LOL
