Directed by Otis Garrett

Starring Donald Woods, Nan Grey, Edgar Kennedy, Doris Lloyd

One of the best entries in Universal's "Crime Club" series. Most of the action takes place on a dark and very stormy night, as the survivors of a long-ago mining expedition gather together in fear and trembling. It seems that a man whom the miners left for dead is very much alive and out for revenge.

Running Time: 64 minutes

  • This movie is terrific if only for the idea that Universal used the music score for "Bride of Frankenstein".

  • Nan Grey (the older actress here) did a great job. To steal her closing line, Edgar Kennedy is the "Dumbest, dullest, most feeble excuse for an" actor, "I've ever seen." Worth watching.
