In november of 2006 Village Earth facilitaded film & vision workshops along the Amazon communities of Rio Tigre. The team was looking for the last of the indigenous tribe of the Zaparas in Peru. They found instead diverse tribes that had lived in small nomadic communities for centuries, now forced into a modern sedentary lifestyle in overcrowded towns. These communities are made up of Anndoas, Quiche, Boras, Zaparas, Hacuarsh and other tribes. They now live together sharing a common fate, where ail companies, mestizo invaders and corrupt governments aim at taking over their ancestral Amazon jungle. This is the story of one such community named 28 de Julio, after the day when the government forced them to move there.

This documentary was entirely story boarded and filmed by the indigenous community of 28 de Julio, using the "story board" method created by reflexive films. The final edits were made by reflexive films.
