  • They shoud have Indie games of year. Minecraft would win

  • @Pintopinata It seems most High-End PC's have performance issues, and that's because the GPU's aren't getting used. PC games rely on GPU more then CPU, where as Consoles rely on CPU.

Now unless this new "Patch" that Steam downloaded fixes performance issues with low frames on High-End PC's? Then awesome. A bit late but whatever. If not then It's still an overpriced base of a game where Modders have made it worthy to play.

You should download Improved Favourites Menu, as well.

  • @Downsider24 So you don't believe me when I say I have no issues performance wise? K then. The only mod I use is SkyUi because as you said, NV sucks ass do to the console port.

  • @Pintopinata With mods & SkyBoost the game is amazing. Markarth no longer is a bore to walk around, and villages and towns don't drop your frames to the 30's.

Without these mods the game is crap.

Mods + SkyBoost = Amazing. No Mods + SkyBoost = Crap.

  • @Pintopinata ASUS HD 6970 DirectCU II - i5-2500k - ASUS P8Z68-V LE - 8GB Kingston HyperX. It's the game, my friend. Poor optimization. No mods, console port. No SkyBoost, crappy performance.

  • @Downsider24 Poor performance is just your PC. My Pc runs it like a charm. Mayeb you need to install more RAM. 4 GB at the least.

  • @WayofLiving1 In my own personal opinion I strongly disagree with Skyrim winning GOTY and RPG of the year.

Dark Souls and Witcher 2 are by far more rewarding and deserve a world amount of credit. Just cause' this hold the Elder Scrolls title does not make it GOTY quality.

I will say Skyrim is far from being a pathetic game. There is SO much to do, and SO much to see. It's just not what most of the PC gamers were looking for as far as poor textures and performance.

  • @WayofLiving1 Oh, for sure. The world is big with lots to do. PC got shit, however. I'm sorry but if a PC game uses more of your CPU rather then your GPU It's "Console" ported meaning horribly optimized. My ASUS 6970 barely get's used, and stays at 40C after 3 - 4 hours of gameplay.

Bugs I can understand, game is huge, and cause' of that you'll encounter a number of things. But if I need mods that enhanced textures, and give me performance boost? Over 20! something is horribly wrong.

  • @WayofLiving1 Actually the game runs and looks 10x better then vanilla. Bethesda couldn't optimize a game if it were to save their lives. It's a terrible "Console" port. If I need 20 mods to make the game more enjoyable then out of the box? ...

SkyBoost, SkyUI, Enchanced Favourites Menu, Enhanced World Map, FXAA Injector, True Dark Dungeons, Enhanced Shaders, Skyrim HD, 4K Texture Mods, Enchanced Flora, Enhanced Water Textures, Enhanced NightSky/Nebula, Enh Dragon Tex Mods.

  • I must admit, some of my friends wasn't impressed by Skyrim and you just have to read some comments to learn why. One of them told me: Well, it's not my kind of game.

Well, it's an RPG, I don't know what he was expecting. My other friend told me: This game is a time eater, I cannot play it anymore, I don't want to fuck my life. Ok, that's sound fine to me.

For my part, I'm old enough to be able to appreciate the technology in the game... absolutely crazy... compared to those old RPG games
