This is Ford's test mode for the cluster and LCD display of the 2012 Ford Focus...gives you access to a gauge sweep, digital speedometer, digital tachometer, along with other "secret" things...

The symbol with the "A" in a circle is for the Start-Stop System. Its lighting up when the engine is shut down for example at a traffic light or during waiting in front of a rail track. It also lights up when there is an error for this system.
