  • Love Newman's, Neville's, Marcia Ball's and especially John Boutte's version of this song. I'm glad to see that enough artists care about our state to sing about it in so many evocative ways.

  • Even the great Aaron Neville cannot touch the true melancholy feeling that Newman brings to his own song.

  • What an amazing and evocative song. Many have covered it but only Aaron Neville can equal Newman's delivery, albeit in a wholly different style. And what better place to see Newman play it than at the classic fest in his mom's home town.
