2010 Camaro SS vs Trans Am

A 2010 Camaro SS , mods by Carolina Auto Masters of Durham (cam, headers, tune, cai) vs a Trans Am 383 Stroker, MT ET streets/skinnies, exhaust,tune,etc..Camaro runs 12.33. Rockingham Dragway.

@TorqueMachine , yeah I had one of those too, with those mods, would've been about the same time , maybe a tad quicker , than the 383 TA. With a blower, it would've killed me in the Camaro.

@NaturalBornKillerC6 Yea i would know, their amazing machines. You gain so much with so little. They're a drivers race in the 1/4 mile, but from my experience the Ws6 pulls harder up top, especially from 15 mph roll on to 150+.

Do you still own the beast along with the camaro ss? :)

@mjmcg it always bugs the shit outta me to see dumb ass comments on here by people who have no idea what the f*ck they're talking about. The cars both have drag radials, and those require a burnout, reguardless of track prep. As for the camaro speciffically, even with stock tires, a quick scrub burnout to slightly heat and clean the tires would be needed at the track. Get away from your computer and actually race , then make an informed comment.

@NaturalBornKillerC6 Is this track at a higher alt? Those old Trans Am's are way ahead of their time for power they still can put up a fight with a good driver against a lot of cars even now'a days...that and the Camaro's...but 12.6 with those mod I'd think they would run fast et...? My boy has a 99'Camaro with intake,flowmaster & DR's & he puts 13.0@109-110 given summer temp&etc...but the tracks elevation is low too.

@UntamedAdreniline automatics are normally quicker and more consistant at the dragstrip... its why you see big boy cars using glides and TH400s... hell i even converted my 97 SS to auto from being a 6 speed...
