Victory Road - arcade game released by SNK back in 1986

Victory Road is a 1986 arcade game made by SNK. It runs on a dedicated game cabinet four years before the Neo Geo system came out. A port of the game was later released on the NES titled Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road. Note the interesting and humorous voice samples which was unusual for an arcade game back in 1986, it was revolutionary. Also has pretty good graphics with lots of enemy sprites coming at you.

My local bowling alley used to have this and Double Dragon, it was truly mind blowing stuff to my 8 year old mind. Even now the sprite work, sound and gameplay are untouchable in this day and age.

When I was younger, this was in the local roller-skating rink. It had joysticks that turned to change your aiming direction. :D
