ey thnx for the tutorial man! This is a realli stupid question... but I can't seem to delete slices for some reason. I use the mute button as the videos said, but I still can't cut out parts of a song. Can't use the delete button, can't use the cut (ctrl +x) so i resort to cropping the loop. Can u help me?

@911scamper u have to set the loop length first. Use garage band to help mesure it

how come i cant click on the tempo or anything? just the bars and beats part
-
what happens if you can't get even chops? i cant change the tempo without it skipping and distorting a lot

@DJBuglip Iv already got Reason and Record & Pro Tools so i can just rewire but i thought u had work out some way of using VSTs with in the program itself or something, so i was just interested how!!

@DJBuglip Still more: The other alternative is to use a rewire-compatible app, and rewire Reason in as a midi channel into the host program. I do that with Cubase sometimes, if, for example, I'm working with a VST instrument that I couldn't easily emulate in Reason. However, Cubase isn't free, so you'd need to do some Googling to see if there is a rewire-compatible freeware app out there. I love the interface and ease-of-use with the Propellerheads software, but no VST really sucks!

@DJBuglip To Continue: That said, there are a couple of ways to address the issue. The one that I typically use is to work with a separate audio editor (there's a bunch of freeware stuff out there, I use Audacity a lot) that will allow the use of a VST, export the part you want to work with from Reason or Record as a .wav file, manipulate it inside the audio editor, then import the altered file back into the Propellerhead app. Like I said, pain in the ass.

@devilsreject5: Well, frankly, its a huge pain in the ass! I try to do without VSTs as much as possible because of that, although I will say that if you already had a huge library of VSTs or certain ones that you were really attached to it might be better to go with Logic or Ableton or something.
what other program would you recommend? I have a loop that this method wont work for.
