E. L. Woody Reports from HOLLYWOODMY CRAPPY WEEKGRAMMY's week has always been a yawn for me, though last year's Chris Brown Rihanna ass kicking was an unexpected eye opener. This year, I wish I has stayed in bed. For the past year and a half, I have been battling and beating, colon cancer. I have not been on the streets much because I was just too damn worn out from the chemotherapy, the radiation therapy, the surgeries, and finally, the damn disease that I got in the hospital, that lasted for three months. But, with the wonderful help of Paparazzi Henry, Steve, and Larry, I have finally recovered enough to cover another Academy Awards. I am back on the street, cancer free, feeling good, looking for the moneyshot, again. This time I have no luxury of blowing off a shot, or missing a beat, because our business, and my life, depends upon finding the moneyshot, or, compiling multiple income streams from various sources. I intend to live forever, though it is the winter of my life, but I will rise to the occasion, because the only option is not that attractive to me. Thursday night, I went to "An Evening of Higher Consciousness", that THE GYALWANG DRUKPA put on at Club Lingerie, nothing. Saw Brent Bolthouse exit and went home. Lots of great jazz musicians were supposed to perform. I never saw any of them. No one else, either. Thursday night, Megan Goode, was at Voyeur, which I think these promoters are calling NO PHOTOS. Kind of facetious for Frankie DelGado, cause I did recognize him, and I granted his wish. I took no photos of him. Watch out for what you wish for, because that wish may be granted, Frankie. Several music people were there, not sure who they were. Watch the video and leave a comment with the names, please. Jack Osbourne, Russell Simmons, Justin Murdoch, girl who looked like Sofia Vergara, beautiful Latina, but not Sofia. Then, Chris Paciello and Reza Roohi, of TIGER Sushi in Beverly Hills came by, Nicky Hilton in leopard print, with Bijou Philips, came out to claim their car from the valets, Josh Richmond (promoted Granville, back in the day!)was there with his partner, Ray J actually spent a lot of time signing and chatting with the paps, as someone with him tried to get his attention, calling, Ray, Ray, Ray Jay! She neve got a response, so she switched to calling him Pookie! Pookie was flirting with a blonde, then started talking about how much he loves Armenians. "Armenia is one of my favorite places!" Says Ray J. At least he was very friendly. I noticed that Henry had arrived at that point. You can read all about who was there on his report. He actually knows who all these people are. Henry is amazing. Brody Jenner was there, seems very self absorbed these days, GONE HOLLYWOOD! Lots of drunk girls in sequined miniskirts, idiots still trying to slip out the back. Just like the old days when this was PEANUTS, then GranVille, and huge stars like Charlize Theron. Leo DiCaprio, and Charlie Sheen partied there every Thursday night. That was before anyone knew who many of them were, so I guess what goes around, comes around. Henry's friend OLIVER TREVENA was ranting to Henry and sharing love with him.Some guy was passed out in front of the 7-11 across the street. I shot a little footage. You never know.But this weekend was a confusing whirlwind of Escalades and limos, and surburban SUVs, all filled with people I did not recognize. Have I forgotten everything I learned in the three decades that I have photographed and videoed stars? Maybe I just missed it while I was sick? Sunday Night nightMondrian Hotel Nothing
